  24. Use /t only as a last resort.  It is functionally equivallent to pressing
  25. CTRL+ALT+DEL and locally stopping the application.  It will also terminate DOS
  26. apps.

  28. If there is more than one window with the same name or partial name, only the
  29. first application found will be terminated.

  47. KILLPROC  is NOT public domain or free software, but is being distributed as
  48. SHAREWARE.  This means that if you are a regular user of KILLPROC you should
  49. register and receive the enhanced version as a bonus.  Only from the income
  50. from your registrations can the author continue to provide product support,
  51. make enhancements and basically stay in business.

  53. Non-registered users of this software are granted a limited license to make an
  54. evaluation copy for the trial use on a private, non-commercial basis, for the
  55. purpose of determining if KILLPROC is suitable.  At the end of this trial
  56. period, the user should either register his or her copy or discontinue use.

  58. Registered users of KILLPROC may use KILLPROC on any computer as long as there
  59. is no chance of the same copy being run on multiple computers at the same time.

  61. Operators of BBS's are encouraged to post KILLPROC and other material by DSI,
  62. for downloading by their users.

  64. This license to use KILLPROC does NOT include the right to distribute or sell
  65. KILLPROC.  These terms follow.

  68. DISTRIBUTION OF KILLPROC BY VENDORS AND COMPUTER DEALERS
  69. Distributors of "public domain" or user supported software libraries must
  70. obtain written permission to distribute KILLPROC and related material.  No one
  71. may use KILLPROC as a promotion for any commercial venture or as an enticement
  72. for the user to pay for any program, product, or service unless they have
  73. RECEIVED the express written permission of the program's author.

  75. In order to distribute KILLPROC the dealer must comply with the following
  76. conditions:
  77. You must obtain written permission from DSI to distribute KILLPROC.  If you
  78. receive no reply, write again:  Silence does not constitute permission, and you
  79. may not distribute pending receipt of permission.

  82. A fee no greater than $10.00 may be charged for each disk sold.  KILLPROC may
  83. not be included on any disk sold for more than $10.00, including CD-ROM or
  84. optical disks, w/o express written permission from DSI.

  86. Vendors may not modify or delete any files on the disk.  Vendors may add a "GO"
  87. or any other reasonable text file to assist the user.  These files added by the
  88. vendor must be easily identifiable and end users must  be allowed to delete the
  89. added files.

  91. Vendors must make a reasonable effort to distribute only the most recent
  92. versions of KILLPROC.   All vendors who have requested and received written
  93. permission to distribute KILLPROC will be notified of updates as they are
  94. released.

  97. DSI disclaims all warranties relating to this software, whether expressed or
  98. implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability
  99. and fitness for a particular purpose, and all such warranties are expressly and
  100. specifically disclaimed. Neither DSI nor anyone else who has been involved in
  101. the creation, production or delivery of this software shall be liable for any
  102. indirect, consequential or incidental damages arising out of the use or
  103. inability to use such software even if DSI has  been advised of the possibility
  104. if such damages or claims. In no event shall DSI liability for any damages ever
  105. exceed the  price paid for the license to use the software, regardless of the
  106. form of claim.  The person using the software bears all risk as to the quality
  107. and performance of the software.

  109. Some states do not allow the exclusion of the limit of liability for
  110. consequential or incidental damages, so the above limitation may not apply to
  111. you.

  113. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California and
  114. shall inure to the benefit of DSI and any successors, administrators, heirs and
  115. assigns.  Any action or proceeding brought by either party against the other
  116. arising out of or related to this agreement shall be brought only in a STATE or
  117. FEDERAL COURT of competent jurisdiction located in Benicia, California.  The
  118. parties hereby consent to in personam jurisdiction of said courts.

  120. This software and the disks on which it is contained is licensed to you, for
  121. your own use.  This is copyrighted software.  You are not obtaining title to
  122. the software or any copyright rights.

  124. You may not sublicense, rent, license, convey, modify, translate, convert to
  125. another programming language, decompile or disassemble the software for any
  126. purpose.

  128. You may make as many copies of this software as you need for back-up purposes. 
  129. You may not use this software on more than one computer, provided there is no
  130. chance it will be used simultaneously on more than one computer.  If you need
  131. to use the  software on more than one computer simultaneously, please contact
  132. DSI for information about site licenses.
